Maximiliano Rodrigo Ciovich (Buenos Aires 1986)
Studied Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires (FADU-UBA), where he also taught courses in Architectural Representation in the Jacoby chair and Architectural Design in the Diéguez chair.
Currently, he teaches the subject "Critical Approaches to Exhibition Design, Art, Architecture, and Space" ACDE together with Juan Agustin Garcia Mosqueda at the School of Architecture and Urban Studies of Torcuato Di Tella University.
He trained in offices specializing in various disciplines such as Architecture, Landscape Design, Civil Engineering, Industrial Design, and Urban Planning. He is co-director of 322A, a space dedicated to the development and exhibition of contemporary design pieces, and the ADM gallery, where he explores the relationship between art, architecture, and exhibition design.
Since 2013, he has directed the studio ITMET a platform that operates in the fields of architecture and design from an experimental perspective. Focusing on material research and technical development, he collaborates with professionals from various disciplines to establish a heterogeneous and transdisciplinary practice.
He developed the design and research workshop Sistema (SSTM) as a platform for experimentation in project design in 2016 and 2018.
He has participated in conferences and as guest critic at FADU-UBA, the Latin American Congress of Architecture at the University of Morón, and the "Modes of Practice" series at the School of Architecture and Urban Studies of Torcuato Di Tella University under the title "Systematic Practice." Additionally, he has presented at Escola da Cidade in São Paulo, Brazil, the College of Architects of the Province of Córdoba, and the National University of Córdoba during the research symposium "Material Pre-Occupation." He also participated as a guest critic in the midterm project review “Forever young” at Lütjens Padmanabahn chair at ETH Zurich,
His work has been published in national and international print media such as Revista Plot, Summa+, Dezeen, Manera Magazine, Domus, AIT Architektur, and L'Architecture d'Aujourd'hui.
