ADM is a project led by Maximiliano Ciovich and Valeria Pecoraro. It originated in the former office space of the ITMET architecture studio at Palacio Vera, with the aim of fostering projects that continue the restoration work initiated by the firm. The Palacio, inaugurated in 1912 and part of the city's historical heritage, is an Art Nouveau building following the Austrian Jugendstil style. The initiative seeks to support the development of artistic projects that are still in search of a material form that aligns with their ideas, inviting collaboration among creators, a curatorial consultancy, and an architect to work collectively and interdisciplinarily on the materialization of devices.
ADM views all material production as a field for conceptual exploration, where each element opens discussions on the symbolic value of objects. The project believes that the richness of interdisciplinary collaboration can lead to new forms, new dialogues, and new audiences. It focuses entirely on a deep analysis of proposals to discover the best possibilities for their development and exhibition, avoiding limitations imposed by commercial purposes.
With no defined periodicity but with intentions of continuity, ADM embraces the political fluctuations that unfold on the other side of its window, along Avenida de Mayo. This project adds a small annex to the catalog of cultural proposals in a historic neighborhood undergoing transformation. Its privileged location, on the artery connecting two centers of political power in Argentina, provides the perfect framework for the project. Its prominence as a stage for current events and its array of architectural styles on facades align with the heterogeneous, collaborative, transversal, and radically contemporary spirit at its core.
Far removed from the white cube aesthetic, ADM strives to create visual proposals where architecture and the elements housed within it coexist and enhance one another, eliminating disciplinary hierarchies and presenting new possible conceptual intersections.
